About Tom Emson
Tom’s natural aptitude for driving led him to Loughborough College to study the Motorsport UK enhanced DISE programme.
This bespoke two year motor vehicle education and sporting excellence development programme is aimed at the UK’s most promising young drivers equipping them with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to maximise their performance.
This knowledge coupled with Tom’s passion and commitment to motorsport has ensured that he is one of the most reliably competitive drivers around, illustrated by the numerous and consistent achievements throughout his career. In the last seven years Tom has competed in karting, Juniors and now GT4 with growing success at every level, his obsession with racecraft improvement obvious to all.
In 2017 Tom was first noticed by Elite Motorsport and he started testing for them, alongside competing in the Sodi World RKC World Finals. He has been delivering results for Elite throughout their longstanding relationship and he has just finished competing in the GT4 European Series behind the wheel of the Artura GT4 for a second year. For 2025, Tom has stepped up again this time to the GT3 Open Championship in a Ferrari 296 GT3.
“I’m delighted that Tom is continuing up the motorsport ladder with us. Tom has been an integral part of Elite Motorsport for the past 8 seasons and he has become a really well rounded racing driver.
To take two of our long standing Elite drivers from Ginetta Juniors to International GT3 racing in a new Ferrari 296 shows the progression and Elite ladder I’ve always wanted.
It’s going to be a massive challenge for us as a team to adapt and it’s going to take a lot of hard work but I couldn’t be more pleased with our driver line up who are both a pleasure to work with and both super-fast talented drivers.”
